Wood’s Homes is a multi-service, community-owned and operated children’s mental health centre, helping families for over 100 years.

Framework designed and facilitated multiple strategy renewal processes at Wood’s Homes over fifteen years, incorporating significant internal and external consultation.

Core planning teams, with representatives from across the organization, sought input and validated strategy components with internal stakeholders throughout the process. Consultation with a range of stakeholders including current and past clients, parents, funders, service delivery partners, neighbours and other service agencies were conducted to fully understand the changing external environment and needs and expectations from an external perspective.

Led and/or supported Board development efforts including Board and CEO succession planning, clarifying board roles and responsibilities, updating governance practices and bylaws, Board performance assessments, facilitating Board development retreats and identifying risk management issues.

Developed and supported the implementation of balanced scorecard performance indicators and targets.

Momentum partners with people living on low incomes to increase prosperity, and inspires the development of local economies.

Framework developed and implemented several cycles of a strategic planning process with Board and staff to renew the organization’s multi-year strategic plan.

Efforts focused on:
  • Gaining a common understanding of the environment the organization operates in
  • Confirming Momentum’s mission, vision and guiding values
  • Clarifying implementation strategies
  • And positioning the organization for long term sustainable growth
